Integrating Your Stand Into Your Marketing Mix

In a world of learning, Video Arts use video as a medium to get the message across in a way that your learners won’t forget. They understand the importance of presenting a message well.

Video Arts have been attending Learning Technologies for a number of years and see the show as an important part of their marketing mix.  They’ve previously made the exit poll results as one of the most visually impactful stands, so the expectations on Expo to create another great stand are always high. Having worked with Video Arts for a number of years, the Expo team understand how Video Arts work and try to anticipate any specific requirements.

“Expo really understand our needs. From the skeletons of a brief, they are able to come up with a very creative stand that delivers the messages we want to get across to visitors”

Nene Udofot, Marketing Manager, Video Arts

At Expo, we never design a stand in isolation. It’s our job to understand a company’s overall objectives and create a stand to support them. Last April, Video Arts launched their ‘Wellbeing Essentials’ marketing initiative and wanted their Learning Tech stand to reflect this campaign.  Working with Expo, they developed the idea with mindfulness and calm at the centre of the stand. Expo designed an exhibition stand with a woodland theme, using an artificial grass floor, park benches for seating and a heavy emphasis on wood based materials. Directional signage at the corners of the stand promoted Video Arts’ products in a different and engaging way and the mounted TV screen provided an ongoing show reel. Of course, there were also the practical elements to the stand such as overnight storage for their materials, all made out of timber

There was a great reaction from other exhibitors, all commenting on how the stand stood out at the exhibition and moved them away from other corporate looking stands.

So the stand looked great and Video Arts loved it, but was the show successful for Video Arts?

“We had lots of visitors to the stand. It’s a really busy show,  so for us it’s about capturing quality leads that we can follow up after the show”.

Nene Udofot, Marketing Manager, Video Arts

Having agreed a multi-show exhibition package with Expo, Video Arts are now looking to utilise the woodland themed stand again at the CIPD Learning & Development Show in April this year.
